Leicester City's latest loss has dented their bid for a Premier League return. The Foxes were beaten 2-1 at home by Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, their third defeat in four games.

Leicester are now 10th in the Championship table, six points behind leaders Burnley. They have played one game more than the Clarets, but have a worse goal difference.

Leicester's defeat was their first at home this season, but they have now lost four of their last five games in all competitions.

Manager Brendan Rodgers made four changes to his team for the game against Blackburn, but it failed to have the desired effect.

Leicester took the lead in the first half through James Maddison, but Blackburn hit back with two goals in the second half from Bradley Dack and Sam Gallagher.

Rodgers said after the game that he was "disappointed" with the result, but he is confident that Leicester can still achieve their goal of promotion.

"We're not going to give up," he said. "We've got a lot of games left and we're going to keep fighting.

"We need to stick together and work hard, and I'm confident that we can turn things around."
